Consumers - Time for your Voice to Be Heard

I am well aware it has been quite some time since I have wrote here. However, I am back and hopefully able to post more than once every few times a month.

As I was doing some research this afternoon, I came across this article. I recommend that you read it in its entirety and let your voice be heard. Pay attention to the deadlines. Article is titled: Consumers get rare chance to effect changes in the credit rules.

To comment on the proposed rules, go to www.federalreserve.gov, click on “Consumer Information” at the top of the page, click on “Proposed Rules for Credit Cards and Overdraft Services,” scroll to bottom of the page, and under “Regulation AA,” click on “Submit Comment.” Comments are public.

Stair Step Method Blog is changing

For all of my regular readers you will notice that I only have the categories of Engaged Couples, Personal Finances and a newly added Single Parents.

From now on, this is where my focus will be. Many of you know that I was raised by a single parent and thought it was time for me to provide some resources and recommendations for the single parents out there that believe they are alone.

I have also changed my website Stairstepyourwayoutofdebt.com to focus on these parents that need support. So if you know of someone that is a single parent send them there.

I will also have single parent interviews that will be posted on this blog in the single parent category from time to time. If you have a question, do not hesitate to write me.

2008 is going to be a Blessed, Highly Manifestation of God’s Will for our lives.

Come back and read some more.

Sixty Days of Praise

I wanted all of my readers to know that on my taffywagner.com/blog, myself and a couple of my closest sisters are blogging for the next sixty days sharing our praise and testimonies. We are inviting our readers to share their praise reports in the comments section. You will be encouraged and blessed by what you read.

Do not hesitate to go to that blog and share.

Canceling things that cost money and no return

I go through this phase where I cancel things that do not generate money. How many of you have done that? I always find out just how much has been going out and not coming in. You should sit down and do this and see for yourself.

This will help you get stuff in order. So I take that money and apply it to a bill and pay off a bill faster. What will you do if you find out this information? It is essential to have a personal finances plan as you go into the new year.

Can you Get out of Debt?

I am asking my readers today, christian, non-christian, homeschoolers - if you are in debt, can you get out of debt? Stop and thinking about what your answer is. Maybe it is not as simple as yes. Consider the answers below:

  1) I would like to get out of debt and don’t know how

  2) What are ways Christians get out of debt without filing bankruptcy?

  3)  I believe I can get out of debt, but how do I plan my way out of debt?

  4)  No, there is no way out of debt.

  5)  I believe I can get out of debt as a Christian and would like help from a Christian to get out of debt but very hesitant.

  6)  If I get out of debt, what happens next?

  7)  Does it take a step of faith to remove financial debt?

  8) I am deep in debt and do not see a way out.

  9) What is God’s way for getting out of debt?

10) Debt is not discussed so I have no way of knowing if I can get out of debt or not.

I encourage you to come back and read each day. I am going to take each of these questions one at a time and share from my personal experience how I would answer these. I invite you to post your comments and share with your friends about this blog. Here is a way that many can get help without seeing a person face to face if that is necessary. There is no reason for struggling with debt when there is help available.

This year is coming to an end and you should go into the new year with a viable and realistic financial plan to prepare for financial success. Remember, everything in life begins with a step. Take the step to start commenting and becoming a subscriber to this blog. This way it will automatically send you an email when I post the new information.

Before you say, I am not going to read this. Remember, I was homeless at one point, at least 15,000 in debt without my spouse, was literally in hiding - had no mailing address and was able to get out of debt with my husband (we were approx $30,000 in debt together) within 2 and 1/2 years without filing bankruptcy. We did not buy and sell real estate if you are thinking that must have been what we did. It’s not.  I look forward to your comments.

I do ask if you have an answer that I did not post, send it in. That could be the one that someone else needs addressed or is afraid to say.
